Yato is a minor god who calls himself the “God of Delivery” and dreams of having millions of followers. However, without a shrine dedicated to his name, his goal is far from being achieved. She has been working a strange job for 5 yen every day until his partner gets tired of his worthless teacher and abandons him.

Just when everything looks bleak, her luck changes when a high school student, Hiyori Iki, supposedly save yato from a car accident and takes the hit for it. Surprisingly, she survived, but the blow caused her spirit to loosen so she could leave her body. Hiyori asks Yato to return her to normal, but reluctantly agrees to help him find a new partner after learning he needs one.
