Tiago Benjamín Cricenti, 16 years old, unfortunately saw him lose his life once he decompensated completely last Sunday while he was in the middle of a match in the seventh category of Argentine soccer where he was a member of the Defensores de Cambaceres club, who faced General Lamadrid. The young player died in the Horacio Cestino Hospital facilities, to which he was transferred by his father.

“The Cambaceres Defenders Club regrets to report the death of the player Tiago Benjamín Cricenti of the seventh category, who suffered a decompensation during today’s match,” was the message that the institution posted about the tragedy during the match against General Lamadrid and they also made the decision to declare a duel until Wednesday.

What happened?

Tiago, who was a midfielder, suffered from a decompensation during the second half of the match and according to what was published by the El Día portal, the youth player was assisted by the match assistants who were on the substitute bench, who were in charge of taking him to one end of the playing field.

A witness confirmed that Tiago was carried on a stretcher to a private car and that from the stands the shouts of those present could be heard to take him to the hospital as soon as possible because there was no ambulance on the playing field.
