Alicia Machado was interviewed by Lucho Borrego for ‘Sit whoever can’, before the former Venezuelan Miss Universe arrives to accompany them for a week on the set of the show.
The winner of the first season of “La Casa de los Famosos” was questioned by Borrego about beauty pageants and all kinds of scandals that surround them.
“We are going through a social metamorphosis, of values, of principles. What can you call immorality in the United States at this moment? We are experiencing a transformation where you have to be empathetic with everything,” she said about the inclusion of transgender women in beauty pageants.
In that interview Borrego also asked her about Donald Trump, who was president of the Miss Universe organization when she won the universal crown. Years ago, when Trump ran for the presidency of the United States, Alicia Machado was one of his detractors while supporting Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.
Donald Trump is expected to run again for the presidency of that country in the next presidential elections. “I am not going to talk about that person because the truth is that what I least want at this time for the United States of America is for that man to even try to govern us again,” Machado said with a calm and strong voice.
“I am not a fan of Alicia Machado but for the first time I share everything she said. Bravo for her. Excellent interview”, was one of the reactions after Machado’s words.
However, others disagreed with her: “On the subject of beauty pageants, it is very wrong.”
