Faithful to the transparency policy that he has been embracing in recent times, the actor Ben affleck acknowledged that the filming of “League of justice” -the reviled blockbuster from DC in which he gave life to the character of Batman- was “horrible” due to a myriad of negative factors, including his divorce process from Jennifer garner and the family tragedy experienced by the director Zack snyder, who lost his daughter and was forced to abandon the project.
“It was a bad experience due to a confluence of things: my own life, my divorce, having to be away from home for a long time, the clash of agendas and then Zack’s personal tragedy. Having to shoot again… ”, explained the actor -who now lives a second love story with Jennifer Lopez– in conversation with the newspaper Los Angeles Times.
“In the end, everything I wished that had not happened came together. And at that moment I said to myself: ‘I can’t keep doing this.’ And it had nothing to do with what “League of justice” It was going to be bad or good, anything could have happened in that sense, ”Ben added in his candid interview with the Californian newspaper.
The Hollywood star – father of three children with his ex-wife – should have directed and starred in a new film about the origins of The dark knight, but his personal problems – and the demand for a job that, frankly, could not have come at a worse time – motivated his definitive exit from the universe of superheroes. Now will be Robert Pattinson the one in charge of resuscitating the character of Bruce Wayne on the big screen, in the face of a film that will be released this year.
