A man was arrested in New Orleans, Louisiana, after the police said they found a dismembered body in their freezer.

Benjamin Beale was arrested and accused of several crimes, the WBRZ network reported.

Police told The Times-Picayune New Orleans Advocate that they believe the victim is a woman who disappeared in December.

Police served an arrest warrant at Beale’s home while investigating Julia Dardar’s disappearance, the newspaper reported.

Law enforcement sources told WDSU that the victim is in a freezer inside a bus next to Beale’s house, and that the body was severely dismembered, his head was cut off and many parts were wrapped in plastic.

Police told WBRZ that Beale did not cooperate with the investigation and was taken to the New Orleans Police Department for questioning, where he declined to comment.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office placed Beale in custody beginning Wednesday morning, facing weapons and drug charges as well as obstruction of justice.

The bus with the bloody freezer inside was located next to a house in the 2300 block of Pauline Street.

Neighbors said they were shocked by what happened in the area, according to WDSU.

Apparently NOPD and SWAT teams were in the area for several hours.

The NOPD brought in the boyfriend of the found woman for questioning, according to reports from people in the area.
