Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez predicted a great victory for Mexico when he faces Jermell Charlo in the fight they will star in on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas where the Tapatío’s undisputed super middleweight championship will be at stake.
In an interview with Premier Boxing Champions, Canelo Álvarez expressed that, although he does not know what strategy Charlo will come with, he feels like a beast and He will show everyone why he is still one of the best in boxing.
“Right now I feel great. I feel like a beast. (Jermell) It’s good for 168. I did that before. I jumped two weight classes and I think when you’re a big champion, it doesn’t matter. This fight motivates me a lot. On September 30th I will show you why I am here. Mexicans should be proud of this.. “I don’t know what kind of boxing (Jermell) will bring that night,” he said.

“I don’t know if it’s going to advance or move, but I don’t care because I fight with many styles and I have the experience to adapt to each style. I can do everything in the ring and adapt to any style. It’s going to be a great fight, but I hope for a great victory for Mexico”, he expressed.
Canelo Alvarez has been criticized by some boxing fans and experts for his recent performances in the ring against Dmitry Bivol, Gennady Golovkin and John Ryder. The Mexican, who has acknowledged that he has not looked good, assured that he feels young and that he is still in the best moment of his career.
It should be noted that Jermell Charlo will go up two categories (14 pounds) to face the Mexican and, although the size in the fight will not be a problem because in the promotional press conference it was noted that he is bigger than the man from Guadalajara, which could put the American at a disadvantage against Canelo Álvarez It is inactivity in the ring (more than a year and a half without fighting).
The predictions for the undisputed duel between Canelo Álvarez and Charlo are divided. While some claim that The Mexican will comfortably beat the American, others think that the undisputed 154-pound champion could surprise and end the reign of Guadalajara at super middleweight. If he achieved this, he would make history and become, like his compatriots Terence Crawford and Claressa Shields, the only boxers to be undisputed monarchs in two weight categories.

Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, 33, defeated John Ryder by unanimous decision last May in Mexico after 12 years of absence from his homeland. The man from Guadalajara has a record of 59 victories (39 by knockout) and two defeats.
