On the afternoon of this Sunday, September 17, Carlos Sainz, driver of the Ferrari team, became the winner of the Singapore Grand Prix and with this he signed his second victory in the highest category of motorsport. At the press conference the Spanish driver commented: “Incredible weekend.”

“Incredible weekend. Thanks to everyone at Ferrari because they have made a great effort to turn around the tumultuous start to the season. We did everything perfect in the race and we leave with a victory that all of Ferrari and all of Italy will be proud of,” he said after finishing the race.

With this victory of the Prancing Horse team broke a streak of nine consecutive victories for Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team. This causes the difference in the drivers’ championship to reduce a little.

“It was about limiting our limitations with tires and degradation, managing lap times. We stopped earlier than expected for the safety car and I had to slow down even more to control George Russell. In the end, I gave DRS to Lando Norris to help him – he finished second – and we achieved victory,” said the second driver of the Ferrari team.

The Ferrari driver throughout the weekend week he looked very comfortable inside his car and it could be predicted that he would have a great participation in this Grand Prix.

“I felt that I had the peace of mind and the space to do what I could do. Obviously, you are under pressure, but I have had control at all times and I have been able to achieve this victory and I am very happy”, spoke the Spanish pilot.

Carlos Sainz is currently in fifth position in the drivers’ championship with a total of 142 points.
