The Mexican National Team beat Saudi Arabia on the last day of the first phase of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, however, they failed to advance to the next phase and Poland was the team classified by goal difference.
Such was the case of Hirving Lozano’s claim to Uriel Antuna after missing the goal that would mean the classification of Mexico that finally did not arrive.
It was after a diagonal by Lozano that Antuna was in front of the goal with a favorable outlook to give Mexico the winning goalbut nevertheless “El Brujo” could not score.
Curiously, at the end of the game it was possible to observe how Lozano approached Antuna and seemed to claim his mistake.even makes a gesture where it seems to indicate how he should have connected the ball.
However, it is not Antuna’s failure that ended up taking El Tri, since in previous games they did not end up making the grade.
The Mexican National Team ends up eliminated in the first round after 44 years and the debacle even led to the resignation of Gerardo Martino from the bench.
