“Dahmer” continues unstoppable on the Netflix platform

The series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” became the third most watched series on the Netflix platform, exceeding 1 billion hours viewed.

The project based on the case of the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who took the lives of 17 teenagers in the 80s, reached these numbers just 60 days after its premiere on the streaming platform, reported EFE.

“Dahmer” joins the select list of the most watched series in Netflix history such as “Squid Game” (2021) and the fourth season of “Stranger Things”, released this year.

The anthological series by Ryan Murphy (“American Horror Story”, 2011) and Ian Brennan (“Hollywood”, 2020) spent 7 weeks in the world Top 10 on Netflix and reached the same numbers in 92 countries out of more than 190 in which the entertainment company operates.

Dahmer is one of the most notorious criminals in contemporary American history for his heinous acts of sexual abuse, cannibalism, and mutilation of his victims.

The American actor Evan Peters plays the murderer and his work has more than positive reviews.

The commercial success of the series meant that the platform is already working on two additional installments, in which the stories of other criminals who have affected and impacted society will be told.

“Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” also broke the Nielsen record after becoming the most-watched series in “streaming” in the United States during its seventh week and after having remained at number one on the Nielsen list for three consecutive weeks.
