The Qatar 2022 World Cup has barely been in development for two days and is already giving people something to talk about due to various factors and stories of all kinds. This Monday the England team made its debut in the ecumenical competition and through social networks a particular story of two British fans who lived an unusual experience was known.

Both characters landed in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and began to look for a plan that contemplated the intake of alcohol, a substance with many restrictions in this country. In their search for leisure they met the son of a Qatari sheikh who took them to his palace, where they would end up playing with one of his pets: a lion.

In statements for the TalkSport medium, one of the protagonists narrated how his crazy experience was. “Last night we met one of the sheikh’s sons and he took us to the palace. He showed us that he had lions and everything,” he said.

“Basically, we were looking for some beers and he said, ‘yeah, we sort beers, we sort beers,’ so we ended up in a big palace. He showed us his monkeys, his exotic birds. It was crazy,” he added.

The story became known thanks to a video on social networks that went viral. In the audiovisual you can see her arrival at the palace, where she filmed the interior of the house and the sheikh’s luxuries.

Qatari laws prohibit the consumption or possession of alcohol on public roads. Prison sentences for this action are around six months. To be able to consume this type of drinks, you have to go to exclusive places for this purpose.

It should be remembered that the sale of beer in the stadiums of the eight World Cup venues and their surroundings was a fact, but 48 hours before the start of the maximum football event, the authorities of the Asian country gave up this option.
