Venezuela broke a new Guinness Record with the largest casino salsa wheel in the world, made up of 1,595 people, gathered on November 27 at the Teo Capriles Velodrome in Caracas.
Thus, the mark reached by Spain was surpassed, in 2019, with 1,291 dancers.
The news was offered yesterday by Luis Llamo, coordinator of the activity and president of the Retomando el Son project that promoted the initiative.
«After so much effort, sacrifices, studying, unifying criteria based on the figures, the songs, watching all the tutorials, receiving conferences, working continuously among all the delegates, directors of academies, coordinators, we broke up the Guinness Record,” he said.
During the announcement made to the press, the Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism and Minister of Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado, recalled that this is the 28th record reached in Venezuela and congratulated those involved for raising the country name.
