With more pain than glory have been the first months of José Juan Macías in La Liga in Spain with the Getafe CF shirt. Since the departure of Míchel and the arrival of Quique Sánchez Flores, the Mexican forward has been erased from league matches.
While Míchel was on the bench for the azulón team, Macías played seven league games. Now that Sánchez Flores is here, he could only play 24 minutes in the Copa del Rey against Mollerussa. This situation would precipitate his departure from the club, to which he was transferred with an option to buy in July 2021.
The last time he was summoned was precisely against Mollerussa, on November 30. Macías is the fifth striker in Quique’s preferences, after Enes Unal, Sandro Ramírez, Jaime Mata and Darío Poveda. And with the imminent arrival of Borja Mayoral, Macías’ options would be nil.
For this reason, Spanish and Mexican media reported on the possibility of seeing JJ Macías change clubs, including the newspaper Record.
