For Jennifer Lopez, one of the darkest moments of her life was when she broke up with actor Ben Affleck. As she said, she felt for a moment that she was going to die.
“Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life,” JLo stated in the interview. “Honestly, I felt like I was going to die.”
“It sent me in a spiral for the next 18 years in which I just couldn’t do it right,” continued the 53-year-old star to explain the suffering lived for more than fifteen years. “But now, 20 years later, it has a happy ending. It has the most ‘would never happen in Hollywood’ ending.”
The interview was granted for the release of the new album “This is me…now”. The new musical work contains 13 songs and is the best way to celebrate 20 years of the album that changed her life: “This is me…”, which coincided with the first stage of her love with Ben Affleck.
On this album, and like her first installment, the singer dedicates the song “Dear Ben” to her lover, but now under the title “Dear Ben pt II”.
“We captured this moment when I met the love of my life and we decided that we were going to be together forever,” he said of the record. “The whole message of the album is: ‘This love exists. This is true love’”, concluded the artist.
