For the midfielder of the Rayados of MonterreyJordi Cortizo, his love for Cruz Azul It has been a story of love and suffering that has faded over the years, but that during his childhood and adolescence, he appreciated them along with his family like nothing else in life.
A revelation that generates attention after the trajectory it has experienced since its emergence in the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro and their time in Puebla and now in Rayados de Monterrey, especially because three years ago there was still time to experience the anguish and joy of the cement team’s Clausura 2021 tournament title.
Cortizo made his taste for the colors of the cement team known in the “Padilla” podcast, a broadcast dedicated to soccer topics, The former Puebla midfielder revealed that in his beginnings as a footballer he lived important adventures such as his love for Cruz Azul.
“I went to Cruz Azul, a cousin played there, he debuted there and played Libertadores. I cried more times than I enjoyed, the finals were so bad, how much I suffered. I did celebrate the title, once you start playing soccer, the fanaticism loses a little, you see it as a job,” he commented.
Cortizo also added that: “I was with Querétaro and Tijuana, I lived that whole league on vacation, literally I was a very big fan and I enjoyed the final a lot with my family. I had a bad time on family day, the game ended and my head hurt from the stress of having become champions because we had already suffered a lot,” he added.
The talented Rayados de Monterrey player, instead of hiding his taste for the cement organization, despite defending the colors of another team, said that: “Now that one sees this football as a job, one sees things differently and my love for Cruz Azul It was something that I experienced intensely.”
