The controversy over the alleged advertising that sexualizes minors from the Balenciaga fashion house continues to affect the Kardashians, now Kylie Jenner has raised her voice to make it clear that her new family photos have nothing related to the controversy.
Kylie shared on Instagram some pictures featuring her children, 4-year-old Stormi and her 9-month-old son. The shared content comes almost a week after Balenciaga was in the eye of the hurricane for the publicity images for the 2023 collection.
Jenner has been implicated in the controversy, since her sister Kim Kardashian has been the image of the brand and consequently the family has been implicated. The scandal was so publicized that Kim issued an apology for the campaign involving minors.
Kylie was severely attacked on social networks for posting content regarding her children, many interpreted the action as an act of covering up Balenciaga by exposing her children. The main criticism came from TikTok.
According to E!, Kylie’s short video response also came less than 24 hours after Kim broke her silence on the controversy surrounding the fashion house.
Balenciaga first issued an apology earlier this week after images of an ad campaign surfaced showing young children posing with teddy bears that appeared to be dressed in BDSM (adult erotic practice) costumes.
“I’ve been quiet these past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked or outraged by Balenciaga’s recent campaigns, but because I wanted the chance to speak with his team to understand for myself how this could have happened,” Kim wrote in a post. November 27 post shared on Instagram.
