The result of the 71st edition of Miss Universe has been the topic of conversation on social networks, as many say that the crown was stolen from the Venezuelan candidate Amanda Dudamel. Several Hispanic celebrities have joined the discussion, such as the journalist Maria Celeste Arrarás.
In an Instagram post, the Puerto Rican shared her opinion about the final result, which gave the winner to Miss United States, R’Bonney Gabriel.
“Terrible choice of Miss USA as the new Miss Universe,” declared María Celeste.
The journalist clarified at the beginning of the text that her opinion was given from the experience she has had as a contest jury on two occasions. “The instructions that the judges receive is that we must choose the most beautiful of the groupto which when you enter a place it turns all eyes. Of course, knowing how to express yourself and answering intelligently are important attributes, but there were a handful among the 5 finalists who had all that together and who, in my opinion, were much prettier”.
Talk about the candidates from Puerto Rico and Curacao who were left out of the three finalists. He considers that both were better next to the one that finally won. “I did not see Miss USA or among the semifinalists – even though I am a proud American citizen by birth.
