The successful American band Metallica announced this Monday, November 28, the plans they have for 2023. These plans include a new album and a world tour.

This information was shared by the same band on their Instagram account. There they say that the new album will be called ’72 Seasons’ and will be available on all digital platforms on April 14.

’72 Seasons’ will become the band’s 12th album, which comes six years after ‘Hardwired…To Self Destruct’. The new 12-song record is produced by Greg Fidelman.

All of the design for the new album was done by Grammy Award winner David Turner.

Metallica vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield explains the new record: “The first 18 years of our lives that make up our true or false selves. The concept that our parents told us ‘who we are’. A possible pigeonhole around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the ongoing study of those core beliefs and how they affect our perception of the world today.. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or freeing ourselves from those ties we carry.

In turn, they shared the official dates of the new world tour that will start on April 27 in Amsterdamthe Netherlands, and will end on September 29 in Mexico City.

Tickets will be on sale starting this Friday, December 2 via the official Metallica website. From this same web page you can now place orders for the new album.

With this tour the band will also visit France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, several cities in the United States, Denmark, Poland and Spain.
