With great solvency and forcefulness in attack, the Selection of Brazil reaffirmed that it is a candidate to win the Qatar 2022 World Cup by overcoming it with a comfortable score of 4-1 to a South Korea that could do nothing against the offensive power of the ‘Canarinha’.
In the first half alone, the South Americans resolved a large part of the clash with goals from Vinicius Jr. (7), Neymar (13) from a penalty, Richarlison (29) and Lucas Paquetá (36). South Korea discounted in the second half at minute 76 through Paik Seung-ho.
Now Brazil will face off in the quarterfinals against the current runner-up in the world, Croatia, who was able to eliminate their counterpart from Japan in a tough match after reaching the definition by penalty shootout.
