Qatar 2022: Fans of all nationalities wish Pelé a speedy recovery


The world of football is very aware of the health status of soccer legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as ‘Pelé’. The 82-year-old Brazilian has suffered from different health problems in recent years, the last being a difficult colon cancer.

In the last few hours, the Brazilian media have reported that he even stopped responding to chemotherapy treatment, so doctors have applied another way to combat his disease. The star’s daughter, Kely Nascimento, revealed that her father had COVID and developed a lung infection in recent weeks for which he had to be admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.

All fans, regardless of their nationality, are waiting for what happens with Pelé, including the thousands who are in Qatar to watch the 2022 World Cup.
