French midfielder Aurélien Tchoauméni does not arrive in time to play on June 1 the final of the Champions League, at Wembley against Borussia Dortmund.

This is the second confirmed loss of Real Madrid, by Carlo Ancelotti himself. The French midfielder will recover for the Euro 2024 dispute with Didier Deschamps’ team.

Aurelien Tchouaméni was injured on May 8, in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals against Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The French footballer suffered a stress injury to his left foot that has not allowed him to recover in the last three weeks.

Although there was hope in the coaching staff that the French player would recover in time for the Champions League final, after two weeks of treatment the steps taken have been small and there are no options for Tchouaméni to play in the final within eight days.

“He is doing individual work, he does not make it to the final, he is ruled out,” Carlo Ancelotti confirmed at a press conference. “I think he can recover for the Euro Cup,” he added, marking Tchouaméni’s possible return date.

Tchouaméni will miss the last five games of Real Madrid’s season after being, along with the Uruguayan Fede Valverde and the German Antonio Rüdiger, the one who had played the most minutes.

Carlo Ancelotti on the retirement of Toni Kross

Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, He regretted the loss of a key player in his squad like the German Toni Kroos, who is retiring from football at the end of the season being at his best level at 34 years old, and assured that it is the decision “of a man with balls”, with a unique and irreplaceable profile.

“Veteran players, legends, have to choose their destiny, how to end up here. Toni has made this decision that we have to respect and we have to say goodbye to him as best we can. I greatly respect his decision. It is that of a man with balls, it is reality,” he said at a press conference.
