Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival faces fine of around $28,000 dollars because the show offered by Lana Del Rey exceeded the scheduled time.

The 38-year-old singer performed last Friday with a performance that ended 13 minutes later than scheduled. This violation of the allotted time resulted in the imposition of a fine by the city authorities of Indio, California, the NME portal reported.

This is not the first time that Coachella organizers have faced fines for non-compliance. In addition to Lana, during the first weekend of the 2024 edition, other fines were imposed for curfew violations, amounting to an estimated total of $117,000 dollars.

Frank Ocean mentioned the time restriction during his headline performance on Sunday. He started late, beginning his performance at 11:00 p.m., and concluded it with a half-hearted statement: “Guys, I was informed about curfew, so that marks the end of the show.”

According to TMZ, the city of Indio, California, will use the money for operating costs, including public works and police and fire departments.

Coachella 2024 featured an outstanding lineup, including stars such as Doja Cat, No Doubt, Blur, Ice Spice, Sabrina Carpenter, Peso Pluma, J Balvin, among others.

It is worth mentioning that the festival faced a series of technical and sound problems during the first weekend, affecting the presentations of artists such as Lana Del Rey and Grimes.
