There’s Only One Winning Ticket For The $1.35 Billion Mega Millions Jackpot And It Was Sold In Maine

a ticket of lottery sold in the state of Maine matched all six numbers to win the $1.35 billion jackpot from Mega Millions of the draw on Friday, January 13, 2023.

Friday鈥檚 Mega Millions draw numbers were 30-43-45-46-61 and the golden Mega Ball 14.

The Mega Millions website has only reported one winner with a ticket sold in the state of Maine.

The $1.35 billion prize goes to one winner who chooses an annuity with annual payments for 29 years. Winners of these lottery prizes almost always take the cash option, which for Friday鈥檚 drawing was estimated at $724.6 million.

Fourteen other tickets matched the five regular numbers, which will be worth $1 million each. The multiplier was 2x, but none of the 14 winning tickets had paid the multiplier.

Of these 14 $1 million dollar winning tickets, four were sold in New York, two in California, and one each in Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Mega Millions players have endured months of losses, allowing the jackpot to grow to become the fourth largest lottery prize in United States history.
