Shortly before the match between Mexico and Saudi Arabia in the last match of Group C of the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the Lusail Stadium, there was a violent altercation between Aztec fans and Arab fans of the country.
Through social networks, a video went viral where you can see a small group of people who cheered for the Tri and were upset when they heard the booing of some Saudis. This caused a small violent episode to begin with some shoving. Calm was restored thanks to some fans who intervened on the Boulevard de Lusail.
Apparently the conflict occurred with fans of the ‘Barra Corazón Azteca’. According to unofficial information, it was very upsetting that some Saudi Arabian fans walked with flags and chants in the middle of the Aztec caravan.
This would not be the first fight between Mexican fans. A few days ago, they went to blows with fans of the albiceleste before and after the game that the South Americans would end up winning 2-0.
The commitment that is being played this Wednesday is of high tension in terms of sports because both teams are playing for continuity in the ecumenical contest.
Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino’s men must wait for Argentina to win against Poland and thrash the Middle Eastern nation in order to qualify for the round of 16, an instance they have attended uninterruptedly since 1994.
In case of qualifying in first place, Mexico would face off against its counterpart from Australia. If he advances as second in the group, El Tri will have to meet the current world champion in Russia 2018, France.
