The Venezuelan Olympic champion and three-time triple jump world champion, Yulimar Rojas, managed to be crowned this Thursday with his second Diamond League by winning the grand finale held in Zurich achieving a mark of 15.28 meters.

In this way the Venezuelan athlete continues to confirm her dominance in a discipline in which her biggest opponent seems to be herself. Her second Diamond League adds to her trophy case that at 26 years of age promises to continue expanding.

The winning brand of Yulimar Rojas

According to the EFE agency, Yulimar Rojas he began the contest with a null jump to later recover with a second jump with which he reached 15.28 meters. This mark of the Venezuelan was impossible to reach by the European champion, the Ukrainian Maryna Romanchuk, who stayed at 14.96, neither the Jamaican athlete Shanieka Ricketts could reach Rojas and her record stayed at 14.85 meters.

After this record, the Venezuelan athlete tried to beat her own mark, something that she could not achieve but that nevertheless continues to be a challenge for the multi-champion and FC Barcelona athlete.

Diamond League dominance

The Venezuelan athlete, trained by Cuban Iván Pedroso, demonstrated her absolute dominance in this competition. After the record he attempted to beat his own record, however he failed the next three jumps. It should be noted that in the last and sixth jump, Rojas stayed at 14.99, somewhat far from the outdoor world record that he reached with a record of 15.67.

Yulimar Rojas with this laurel becomes double champion of the Diamond Leaguea competition that he also won last year with a jump of 15.48 meters and in which he looks unbeatable to this day.
