In conversation with The Sunday Times newspaper, the leader of the band Bon Jovi assured that due to the injury, which was treated two years ago with surgery, he performs daily rehabilitation exercises. with the hope to recover your voice.
But, in case he doesn’t make it, the 62-year-old artist, who has more than four decades of experience, will not force his throat and say goodbye to the stage.
“This is the first time I say this. If my singing isn’t great, if I can’t be the guy I once was… then I’m done. And I’m fine with that”.
“There is a big difference between being in a studio and going on tour. We just recorded a new album. I sing in vocal therapy every day. But I want to perform two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, and I know how good I can be,” confessed the New Jersey native.
Bon Jovi underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022, due to a damaged cord.
A few days ago, on the occasion of the release of the album ‘Forever’, the singer of “You Give Love a Bad Name” told the American press that his recovery was making progress, so he remained optimistic about the situation.
“These are not easy days. Every day is a struggle, but I am more than capable of doing it again. I am the damn Bon Jovi,” he exclaimed.
