For Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, Chivas forward, things are still not rosy for him in the Clausura 2024 tournament, given that after having scored his first goal after 14 years of absence in Liga MX on the last date vs. Puebla, once again will be absent from the starting lineup of the eleven directed by Argentine Fernando Gago in the visit they will make this Saturday vs. Pachuca at the Hidalgo stadium in the city of Pachuca.
Now Chicharito could not overcome a muscle problem in his adductor and for that reason the Chivas coaching staff decided to remove him from the list of travelers to the capital of Hidalgo, which represents a significant loss in the lineup of the red and white team in a match where, if Chivas won, it would tie the Tuzos in 25 points in the fight to reach one of the six direct tickets to the league.
Until now, Chicharito adds just 202 minutes of activity in five games played in the current tournament, three of which have been as a starter for the Sacred Flock and where he has scored a single goal as the top player for the Guadalajara team.
Chicharito has been highly questioned because it seems to prioritize advertising aspects that the sports players already receive preferential treatment from the board, such as traveling separately from their teammates and that has generated annoyance and complaints from the fans, especially because they expected that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward would join the team shoulder, something that has not happened so far.
This situation does not contribute to Javier Hernández’s plans to demonstrate on the field of play the reasons that led him to be hired by Chivas, in the top signing of the Clausura 2024 tournament, especially due to his European career that includes Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham United and Sevilla of Spain, as well as the LA Galaxy, in a project that brought him closer to the League MX and that Chivas was finally able to achieve in this championship.
To face Pachuca on the Hidalgo Stadium field, coach Fernando Gago decided to choose the goalkeepers Raúl Rangel and Óscar Whalley, as well as the defenders Antonio Briseño, Gilberto Sepúlveda, Leonardo Sepúlveda, Jesús Sánchez, Gilberto Chiquete Orozco, José Castillo and Alan Mozo.
While for the midfield Víctor Guzmán, Erick Gutiérrez, Fernando Beltrán, Rubén González and Yael Padilla were elected. As for the attack, Gago chose Ricardo Marín, Roberto Alvarado, Carlos Cisneros, Cade Cowell, Isaac Brizuela, Pavel Pérez and José Juan Macías, the latter once again taken into account after not seeing action against Puebla also due to a muscle ailment.
