Mexican striker Erick “Cubo” Torres received a bucket of cold water upon ratifying the two-year suspension that weighs on him for the use of a substance that helps wounds heal quickly called Clostebol and of which he was accused during his stay in the Costa Rican soccer team Asociación Deportiva Guanacasteca.

Erick Torres, due to the suspension he faced and which was ratified today, He dedicated himself to selling Tex Mex-style fast food. in a business owned by his partner’s father in order to help support himself financially after he was removed from the courts due to the use of this medication that helps in the rapid healing of wounds.

Torres was summoned at 2 p.m. at the National Stadium of Costa Rica for the hearing before the National Anti-Doping Commission of Costa Rica, where he would present evidence in defense of the action that he is accused of and that cost him his separation from the last team where he provided his services.

In the same meeting he received the news of the ratification of the punishment he faces and that will keep him away from the fields for two more years, as he had done until now after he tested positive in an anti-doping test after a game of his team Asociación Deportiva Guanacasteca.

At 2:00 p.m., the Mexican arrived at the National Stadium in the capital San José, where said hearing was; However, although he expected a ruling in his favor, it was not like that, since he was suspended for two years from the courts for the use of that substance.

At 31 years of age, ‘Cubo’ Torres was away from the courts until before this latest ruling and that now he will have to resort to a new appeal together with his lawyer Juan Carlos Retana, trying to take a step back from the sanction that was imposed on him and that he had already been serving for a few months.

So far, the Guanacasteca team is the tenth project in which it participates since his debut in Chivas, then a career that included Chivas USA and Dynamo de Houston in the MLS, then Cruz Azul, Pumas and Xolos de Tijuana.
