Actors Diego Luna and Tonatiuh They join the main cast of the adaptation of the musical “Kiss of the Spider Woman”, in which they will star Jennifer Lopezaccording to Deadline.
The Mexican will play Valentín Arregui, while the Californian will take the role of Luis Molina, characters based on the novel by Manuel Puig.
Luna will come to this film after concluding filming the second season of “Andor”, for Disney+, a project that has brought her good reviews for her acting work.
Oscar Bill Condon will direct the film, while the production team includes Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Diego Luna will also be part of the team of executive producers of this project.
What is “Kiss of the Spider Woman” about?
The film will be set in an Argentine prison, temporarily located in the early 1980s, in the middle of the Dirty War, where two prisoners, Molina and Arregui, live together and to escape their reality they imagine a film starring a diva of the cinema known as Ingrid Luna (Jennifer López).
The Artists Equity studio, behind the film “Air: Courting a Legend”, will be in charge of the production of this film, which will have independent financing.
