Guitarist Javier Bátiz is hospitalized due to health complications

Tijuana guitarist Javier Bátiz has been hospitalized in Tijuana since Wednesday, February 28 after a series of complications that affect his health.

Pneumonia, as well as high glucose levels and heart conditions, are some of the reasons why he is being treated, as reported by Claudia Madrid, the musician’s wife.

It was through a live video on Facebook that an ultrasound of his heart was performed on Thursday night, since last weekend, Javier Bátiz presented various symptoms that complicated his health after attending Mexico City, where he had a scare due to a seismic alert.

“The flight from Mexico to Tijuana was very difficult, he did not feel well, he did not feel well… we took him to a consultation yesterday and they did not let him leave,” said Javier’s wife.

He points out that since December, the musician showed deterioration in health after a series of colds.

“He is delicate but not serious, he is stable. He will get out of this, I’m sure… I think he is a strong man and he still has a lot to give,” the singer’s wife indicated in the broadcast.

On February 19, several Mexican rock protagonists of the Avándaro generation attended the 50th anniversary Cineteca Nacional, where the video-concert of the Avándaro Festival was screened, for its 52nd anniversary.
