Singer Lily Allen He generated controversy when he opened up in a recent interview and assured that his daughters, Ethel Mary and Marnie Rose, ruined his artistic career.
The British presenter also told Radio Times that, although she loves her daughters with all her heart, she recognizes that they ruined her career.
“I never really had a strategy when it came to my career, but yes, my daughters ruined my career. I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop stardom, they completely ruined it,” she commented.

Allen also shared that she had to choose between her career and having her daughters, who are currently 11 and 12 years old, and that she had with Sam Cooper, from whom she separated 3 years ago.
“It really bothers me when people say you can have it all because, honestly, it’s impossible. Some people choose their career over their children and that is their prerogative, but my parents were quite absent when I was a child and that left me some ugly scars“he declared.
Due to childhood traumas that arose due to the absence of his parents, Allen has decided to focus only on his daughters.
“I feel like that really left some nasty scars that I’m not willing to repeat on my daughters. I chose to take a step back and focus on them, and I am happy to have done it because I think they are quite complete people,” he concluded.
