Manchester City began their trip to Madrid this Monday to play the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals without Kyle Walker and Nathan Aké, both injured.
Walker, who did individual work this Monday, outside the group, and Akéwho did not train, were left out of a list that does include Josko Gvardiol, who also did not train as a precaution after being substituted at half-time of the victory against Crystal Palace.
Walker’s loss at right back leaves Rico Lewis as the only natural option for that position, although Pep Guardiola can also choose to place Manuel Akanji there, the fastest man in his defense to stop Vinícius Júnior.

Rodrygo admits that Manchester City is the best club currently
Brazilian Rodrygo Goes showed “total respect” for Real Madrid’s rival in the Champions League quarterfinals, Manchester City.
Rodrygo sees the Citizens as “the best team in the world”, and that “changed” his career with an unforgettable double in 90 seconds in the semifinals two editions ago.
“It brings back good memories, but also bad ones. He was a rival that, to be honest, we did not want to face. And they also think the same. They didn’t want to play against us. It is a match that everyone expects to be the final, but it comes now,” he said in ‘The Guardian’.

Rodrygo does not see weaknesses in the rival although he shows total confidence in Real Madrid’s chances of overcoming the tie.
