Mexico wins and reaches the semifinals of the Women’s Gold Cup: Who will be its rival? – The opinion

The Mexican women’s team beat Paraguay 3-2 in the last match of the group stage to advance to the Gold Cup semi-final.

The Tri femenil surpassed the group stage as leader of Group A with 7 points out of 9 possible and 10 goals in favor. The Mexican team won with a double from Lizbeth ‘la Maga’ Ovalle, one of the two scorers of the tournament with five goals.

The pupils of Spanish coach Pedro López Ramos opted for the offensive from the start and pushed the Paraguayans towards their goal until the 31st minute.

Ovalle opened the scoring with a cross shot that Paraguayan goalkeeper Alicia Bobadilla could not save.

In the 74th minute, Rebeca Fernández made the final 3-2 that was not enough for Paraguay to tie and it did help the Mexicans to meet Brazil in San Diego on March 6 and seek the first place in the final of the women’s Gold Cup.

What will be the semifinals of the Women’s Gold Cup?

The women’s soccer teams of Mexico and the United States This Sunday they completed the semifinals of the soccer Gold Cup in which El Tri will face Brazil and the Stars and Stripes team will challenge Canada.

The BMO Stadium, located in the American city of Los Angeles, served as the setting for the last two matches of the semifinals.

The Mexican team had to work hard to beat Paraguay 3-2, and in the second match the United States beat Colombia 3-0.

Mexico will face Brazil on Wednesday, March 6 at 4:00 pm, Los Angeles time.

For its part, the other semifinal will be the same Wednesday at 7:15 pm, Los Angeles time.

The final will be played on Sunday at BMO Stadium at 4:15 pm Los Angeles time.
