The living legend of Venezuelan baseball, Miguel Cabrera, made an appearance last Tuesday, March 12 to the Detroit Tigers camp in the spring camps and was a pleasant surprise for many, especially for the youngest and most prospects of the organization who greatly admire and respect the player from Maracay.
Cabrera put on his training uniform again and looked happy, cheerful, smiling and with a very positive attitude., where he was also seen throwing balls and helping the team with training drills, a different routine than what he did during the last 21 years of his life: “I feel good. “I feel like I gave everything I had to baseball,” the Venezuelan commented to the media present.

After what was his last game as a professional player, there have been very few statements from the Venezuelan player before the media, but the few times he has done so, he has made it known that he feels very happy for everything he has achieved and done in his extensive career in Major League Baseball: “Right now I can say: It was enough. He didn’t want to leave baseball saying he could still play. But I can not anymore. Volleyball and softball for me,” he commented.

“He will be in the batter’s box at 8 am with the instructors. He’s going to work a little bit on the minor league side. He is going to be in the dugout during the game and will begin to exercise his new position with the organization.” Hinch said.

Cabrera was also very happy with his new position and fully willing to help the team. where he spent most of his years in the Major Leagues to reach another level and be able to collaborate wherever necessary.
