Nice gesture: Edson Álvarez and the rest of West Ham trained with shirts painted by children – La Opinion


West Ham players, including the Mexican midfielder Edson Alvarezparticipated this Friday in an initiative of the team’s foundation so they jumped into the training session wearing t-shirts with designs made by three-year-old children.

The team itself showed on their social networks what was part of the initiative they did in collaboration with the Bobby Moore Academy primary school, who support up to 50,000 people in east London and Essex.

One of the most striking designs was the one worn by the Mexican midfielder Edson Alvarez who on the back not only showed his last name and number but also carried his nickname “El Machín” and the flag of Mexico. All drawn and colored by the little children of the London primary school.

As part of the initiative, the West Ham players themselves visited the school located near the club’s stadium to do a dynamic with the young students who ended up making the original designs with information they received from the footballers.

“I think these actions will raise awareness of the work of the Foundation because they do a lot of good things for young people in the West Ham community and, as players, we want to be part of that.”Vladimír Coufal, the Hammers’ Czech defender, said in a team statement.

West Ham also announced that fans who want to support the cause will be able to do their part by participating in a raffle for which they will be able to purchase their ticket this Saturday during the match against Liverpool for a price greater than $5 dollars.
