The actress Ninel Conde sued in the city of Miami Anabel Hernandezauthor of the book “Emma and the Other Ladies of Narco”, accusing her of moral and labor damage for the statements she issued in the text published in 2021.
The singer also seeks clarification from the writer, who mentioned her in the text that shook the entertainment world for revealing alleged relationships between showbiz characters and drug traffickers.
The application documents were presented by the lawyers of “El Bombón Asesino” and mention in detail the paragraphs of the text where his name appears.
“(The book) contains numerous defamatory statements about the plaintiff Herrera Conde, who accuse her of criminal and illegal crimes and tend to subject her to hatred, discredit and dishonor.
The defendant caused (the book) to be published to cause harm to the plaintiff in her trade and profession, with frivolous accusations of criminal and illegal crimes,” mention the documents presented by the “Siéntese Quien Pueda” program.
The lawsuit was filed on January 25 in the 11th Judicial Circuit Court, in Miami Dade County, where the famous woman currently resides.
The soap opera star is seeking compensation for damages, which was established between $50 and $75 thousand dollarsexcluding interest and costs for the case.
According to information from Univisión, Ninel Conde hopes that her image will be respected, the accusations in “Emma and the Other Ladies of Narco” will be clarified and compensate for the damage they caused.
“(The author) did not authenticate the egregiously false and derogatory statements made about the plaintiff, and allowed them to be published by publishers,” adds the complaint filed by the actress’s defense team.
The book was published in November 2021, and it mentions famous names such as Galilea Montijo, Arleth Terán, Joan Sebastian, Alicia Machado, and Ninel Conde, personalities who are accused of having ties to drug traffickers.
