Shooting in broad daylight outside a New Jersey school left two teenagers injured – La Opinion

The police reported that two teenagers were injured after being shot, one seriously, when gunfire erupted outside a Newark high schoolNew Jersey, in broad daylight on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old victim and a 17-year-old boy were wounded when a shooting broke out steps from West Side High School on South Orange Avenue near South 14th Street around 2:45 p.m., the security director said. Newark public, Fritz Fragé.

Both teenagers were taken to University Hospital, where The older victim was in critical condition.police told the New York Post.

According to authorities, the youngest victim’s condition was considered stable.

The circumstances that led to the violence were not immediately clear.

Indianapolis shooting

In the early hours of Sunday morning, One person was killed and five others, including a police officer, were injured during a shooting in Indianapolis.

Two Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were near a bar in the 9400 block of East Washington Street when a disturbance broke out in the parking lot around 1:30 a.m.

Both officers exchanged gunfire with at least one suspect and one officer was shot in the upper thigh and suffered an additional shoulder injury which may have occurred when he fell after being shot, according to the Baileys cited by The Associate Press.

Additional officers responded and They found four other people in the parking lot who had been shot. All were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after, A man arrived at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis with injuries that appeared to be gunshot wounds and died despite treatment by medical staff.

Investigators did not immediately know what caused the initial disturbance in the parking lot, but they were interviewing witnesses and reviewing video tapes.
