According to a recent update in the USCIS official websiteapplicants who have completed and signed Form I-693 as of November 1, 2023, can rest assured that their document will be valid indefinitely. That is, regardless of the time that passes, you will NOT have to repeat the medical examinations necessary for your Procedure of Green Card. Until last year, the I-693 could be used for two years by an applicant but, after that time, it had to be completed again. Perhaps two years is a sufficient period in most cases, but thinking about extraordinary episodes such as a personal emergency (or even a pandemic on a scale similar to that of 2020), the lack of validity is an essential advantage.
It is worth mentioning that in the update statementthe USCIS clarified that it could request a new I-693 if, at the discretion of its own investigation, it is determined that the migrant’s health condition may have changed since the most recent report was signed.
