Thousands of Americans came out yesterday Saturday (03/02/2024) to protest in the streets of several cities in favor of the Palestinian territories and to demand changes in the foreign policy of the United States, after 115 Gazans died this week following an attack by Israel .
The largest protest was seen in New Yorkwhere, despite the rain, thousands of people gathered in the central square of Washington Square Park and then walked along Sixth Avenue, among other streets.
“Lift the siege on Gaza now,” the Palestinian Youth Movement posted on its X account along with a photo of the iconic New York square seen from above.

Protests also took place in the US capital.. In this case, the pro-Palestinians gathered in front of the Israeli Embassy.
Amid chants such as: Free Palestine, protesters united in Washington DC to wave a gigantic Palestinian flag.
While in Chicago, protesters beat improvised drumss with cubes and sticks. A protest also took place peacefully in San Francisco, California, on the west coast of the country.
These types of protests, in which young people predominate, attempt to put pressure on President Joe Biden’s foreign policy in the middle of an election year.
The United States stepped up its delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza by distributing approximately 38,000 meals to help combat the famine facing more than 2 million people.
