This Friday the passengers of flight AM113 Aeroméxico welcomed the baby of a Haitian woman 31-year-old who went into labor when the flight had barely begun.
The Ministry of Health reported that the new mother, who was traveling from Mexico City to Ciudad Juárez He is stable, just like the little one.
Fortunately, the birth could be attended by a doctor who was traveling on the same plane. The birth proceeded without apparent complications and a boy was received while the plane’s flight continued.
“Today we experienced a unique moment on board: we welcomed a new passenger mid-flight! His birth is something extraordinary that touched our hearts. Thanks to the incredible crew of flight AM113, to the bravery of the doctor who was traveling with us and this baby who began his life flying in the year of our 90th anniversary, so he will receive a great gift from us,” the airline said on its social networks.
Upon arriving at the Ciudad Juárez airport and landing the aircraft, the mother and child were treated immediately by paramedics from the Green Cross, a unit assigned to the airport.
After her evaluation, the woman was taken to the Women’s Hospital to receive appropriate and specialized care.
Likewise, the newborn was taken to the Children’s Specialty Hospital, where there is adequate staff and equipment to provide specialized care in case of any complications.
The separation of mother and son It was due to the fact that the birth took place in an uncontrolled environment, nor under adequate hygiene measures, so they had to be reviewed by specialists to confirm their correct state of health.
