Imelda Tuñón confesses that Julián Figueroa’s absence is a constant presence, and that the void left by his departure has been almost unsustainable for a year. Despite having the support of family and friends, the young widow feels that the loss of her beloved husband is something she will have to learn to live with for the rest of her life.
“We have had to support each other a lot because the situation we are experiencing is very difficult. In fact, right now we are in a very complicated part of the mourning because, at first, you are like in shock, then the part begins where you feel dizzy,” he expressed exclusively to ‘TVyNovelas’.
In the midst of his pain, Tuñón has also dedicated himself to remembering the happy moments he shared with Julián, and keeping his memory alive through photographs and memories. He appreciates the love and unconditional support of Julián’s fans, who have been present at all times, giving him strength to move forward.
“This year I haven’t even felt it. I have not perceived well the passage of time, it has passed like water and it has been very strange, because I don’t feel that many things that happened after him happened without him, things are very mixed up, I don’t feel like a year has passed,” Imelda said.
The love story between Julián and Imelda is an example of courage, love and gratitude. Despite the adversities, both gave themselves completely to each other, living each moment as if it were their last. And although the singer’s departure has been a hard blow for her, her love is still present in every corner of her heart.
“This stage is the hardest because it is when you begin to wake up, to feel the absenceyou realize that it is no longer there, I think it is acceptance and it is ugly, we are in the ugliest stage,” he added during the conversation.
“My aunt (Maribel Guardia) and I have focused on work to distract ourselves a little from everything because there have been many things and the year has been very heavy; Working has undoubtedly helped me a lot, Also the fact that José Julián is with me, he drives me to move forward,” he said.
