Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami announced this Thursday that the Argentine Federico Redondo have a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury of the left knee and will remain in the dry dock for approximately eight weeks.
21 years old and son of Fernando Redondo, outstanding midfielder for Real Madrid and the Argentine national team, The young man arrived at the team in pink in February to reinforce a squad in which Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also stand out.
Redondo had played four games – all of them as a starter – with Inter Miami before this injury: two in the MLS and two in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Inter Miami will host New York City FC this Saturday in a new league matchday.

The Argentine footballer Leo Messi assured that he does not think about age when setting a date for his retirement but in his performance on the ground, he said in an interview with the BigTime podcast on the MBC network in Saudi Arabia, a country for which he has been a tourism ambassador for two years.

Likewise, he said that to continue competing at the highest level “one should always try to take care of oneself, eat well, rest, to do preventive work and over the years more and more.”
“One realizes that it is becoming more difficult and that more care is needed because there are more and more games as well.they are played more frequently, much more physical as well and I think that rest is very important,” revealed the Argentine.
