The total solar eclipse that occurred this Monday and that could be seen in Mexican territory did not go under the table for the teams that make life in the Liga MX who did not hesitate to join the trends on social networks and chose to share images related to this curious natural phenomenon that caused darkness in broad daylight.
One of them was the Mazatlan FCwho published a couple of videos showing how his stadium was covered under the shadow that occurred for several minutes this Monday in the midst of the total solar eclipse that overshadowed midday this Monday in some parts of Mexico, United States and Canada.
In Sinaloa, where the El Encanto stadium is located where Mazatlán FC plays at home, it was one of the areas of the Mexican Pacific where the total eclipse of the sun could be seen in its entirety, an event that was not seen in Mexican territory. for 33 years.
But Mazatlán FC was not the only team that took advantage of this natural phenomenon to share it on their social networks. Santos Laguna also showed a video in which it was possible to see how the eclipse occurred and later placed its shield on the sun completely covered by the moon.
Several teams used the total solar eclipse as an opportunity to make publicity pieces for their respective clubs on social networks. One of the most striking was a simple comment made on the FC Juárez account that said: “The sun will take a short break after witnessing our brilliant victory!”.
FC Juárez achieved an important victory against Atlético San Luis (2-3) that allows them to get closer to the Liguilla positions after having played 14 days of the 2024 Clausura Tournament, leaving them with 12 points, three of the places for the postseason .

It was learned that NASA placed a good number of scientists in Mazatlán to be able to more accurately study the total solar eclipse, also known as the “diamond ring,” and that a similar one is expected to occur again in August 2044.
