The Colombian Luis Quinoneswinger of the Mexican Tigres UANL, celebrated this Friday that Argentine Lionel Messi, figure of the American Inter Miami, is going to play in Mexico when facing the Rayados del Monterrey in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
“For football people it is important to have the best player in history in our city, it is something beautiful that we should all enjoy. We are going to face him later in the Leagues Cup, so now we must concentrate on our match this weekend,” he explained in a press conference.
Los Rayados and Inter Miami will challenge each other next April in the quarterfinal series of the Concacaf Champions Cupin which the winner will qualify for the first Club World Cup to be played among 32 teams.
The first leg of the series will be held in Miami on April 3 and The semi-finalist will be known on April 10 in Monterreythe host city of both the Rayados and the Tigres, who compete in the local derby.
After this duel, The Tigres will face Inter in the 2024 Leagues Cup which will take place in the summer in the United States, since both teams share a competition group with the Mexican team Puebla.
The cats also stay alive in the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup, in which They will face the Columbus Crew, MLS monarch, in April.
