Óscar de la Hoya, promoter of Golden Boy Promotions, assured that Ryan García He is training with Derrick James and will face Devin Haney on April 20 in New York for the 140-pound belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

In an interview with Fight Hub, De la Hoya indicated that García looks good and still has enough time to prepare in the best way for the fight with Haney, the most important of his career so far.

“I’ve been in contact with Ryan, I spoke to him yesterday. He looks good, he seems ready, I assure you. All I know is that he went to camp yesterday (to go fight) and he is with Derrick James and his entire team. One thing about Ryan is that He has been training and there are between six and seven weeks left to train and be ready for this fight on April 20,” he said.
