Osmel Sousa, better known as the ‘Czar of Beauty’, takes on another important challenge in his successful career, as he joins the Miss Universe team, as announced on March 14.
The news comes at a time of change within the organization, in which Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú acquired 50% of the shares of the most important beauty pageant in the world.
Precisely, on ‘La Mesa Caliente’, a program broadcast by Telemundo, the magnate shared the news that the former president of Miss Venezuela, known for his knowledge of beauty queens, will have an important role in the coming months.
“We are quite happy that our beloved Osmel is joining us in the Miss Universe organization,” he announced this Thursday.
After this, the ‘Czar of Beauty’ gave some details of the news: “I am delighted, I am shocked by this conversation with Raúl.”
Regarding what he will do, he commented that he will take care of what the co-owner of the pageant asks of him, who recognized the Cuban’s work and stated that he is happy for this hiring.
“I am happy that he is joining the organization,” said Raúl Rocha.
Myrka Dellanos, one of the hosts of the program, asked about inclusion in the contest and how they will incorporate these modifications into future editions.
Given this, Osmel Sousa said: “Those laws may be current, but I always say, for example, okay, all women, with all the differences that exist right now, but beautiful.”
Sheynnis Palacios, current Miss Universe, was also present on this broadcast, thus giving greater formality to the announcement.
The misses expert has an outstanding career in different competitions, since with Venezuela he has obtained, for example, seven Miss Universe crowns, six Miss World crowns and at least eight Miss International crowns.
She was also on ‘Nuestra Belleza Latina’, a Univision program that served as a platform for spectacular women to become part of the television industry.
All this makes it clear that the incorporation of Osmel Sousa will require a careful eye when choosing the new representative of Miss Universe, who this time will be crowned in Mexico.
