Salomón Rondón is the current top scorer in Liga MX and has just scored a hat-trick with Pachuca in the Concacaf Champions League, but the Tuzos do not have him protected and he does not have an exit clause.

Armando Martínez, president of Pachuca, stated that the Venezuelan forward does not have this clause because they do not want to have someone by force.

“We have always said that there is no need to have any clause when a player He doesn’t want to be either a manager or a technical director. You are not going to have anyone by force,” Martínez stated during a interview with ESPN.

The leader explained that there are always teams interested in taking Pachuca players and that this is not the first time this has happened to the team, although he affirms that Rondón is happy with the club.

“We always run the risk that some club wants our players and not only Salomón, but others like ‘Chiquito’ Sánchez and Oussama Idrissi or others we have; worse I see Salomón very happy with us, very committed to the project. He is happy and his family also adapted very well to the city. I see him very happy to make old bones in Pachuca,” said Armando Martínez.

Despite the comments, the president of Pachuca stressed that he does want Rondón to fulfill his three-year contract with the team and that he is not on loan.

“It is not borrowed. He is our player. Nothing guarantees that a player will not have a game loss. Salomón Rondón is a great professional and physically you see him and he is whole. Last year we said that we came a lot and didn’t make it; Today he has been the difference,” argued Armando Martínez.

Pachuca is in fourth position in the Liga MX table with 22 points, partly thanks to the seven goals scored by Salomón Rondón.

This weekend they will face Atlético San Luis as visitors and will want to get up from the defeat they suffered last night against the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro.
