Pachuca’s appeal for punishment of Oussama Idrissi is rejected and he will not be able to play vs. America – La Opinion

Finally, Pachuca will not be able to take into account the Moroccan forward of Dutch descent Oussama Idrissi this Wednesday vs. América at the start of the quarterfinals of the Clausura 2024 tournament group, as the appeal made by the board of directors of the Tuzos for the expulsion they received last Sunday in the victory over Necaxa in the definition of Play In.

Idrissi was sent off in the 87th minute, supposedly because referee Fernando Hernández had assumed that lThe applause that the Moroccan player gave to the side of his team’s bench was a way of disapproving the whistler’s performance, However, after the referee’s report of the game against Necaxa was released, the red card was for receiving a second yellow, but without specifying the reason for it.

Given these arguments, the Pachuca board understood that there were regulatory bases to appeal the suspension of a game that Oussama received.but at the end of the day, the arguments analyzed by the Disciplinary Commission in its supposed investigation did not find the basis to reject the sanction and for that reason, the penalty court of the Mexican Football Federation ratified the punishment.

“The Disciplinary Commission informs that in relation to the investigation request presented by the Pachuca club, and in accordance with article 73 of the Sanctions Regulationsonce the investigations linked to the expulsion of the player, Oussama Idrissi, have been carried out, corresponding to the Play In match of the Clausura 2024 tournament of the Liga MX, and after having analyzed the actions, as well as evaluating the evidence and other documents provided , it is determined that said request is not appropriate, so the player will not be able to participate with his club in its next official Liga MX match,” the statement detailed.

Pachuca appealed to the Disciplinary Commission the expulsion that Idrissi suffered during the Play In game that the Tuzos played against Necaxa and where the Hidalgo team achieved victory by a score of 2-1 at the Hidalgo Stadium, but in their claims no solid arguments were found to withdraw the red card and for the player to play against América.

In the report of the ID card made by the whistler Fernando Hernández and published by the Mexican Football Federation itself, it was established that the first yellow card to Idrissi was for “Disapproving with words or actions”, while in the causes of the red card it was written that it was for “Receiving a second warning in the same game.”

The absence of Oussama Idrissi is a hard blow for the team led by Uruguayan Guillermo Almadasince in the semester he has been wearing the Tuzos uniform he has accumulated 31 games with six goals and 14 assists, so it will be one less problem for América’s defense.
