Paraguayan Richard Sánchez, midfielder for the Mexican América, revealed this Thursday that during the period of Argentine coach Santiago Solari in his team, between 2021 and 2022, he received threats on social networks that blamed him for the bad time that the Eagles experienced back then.
“I received messages of all meaning because the rumor spread that I had a fight with the technician, that I made the bed for him, but no one knows what really happened. I never had problems with the technicianI was always at his disposal to play even when he was injured, ”explained the player who played the 2019 and 2021 Copa América with Paraguay at a press conference.
The former Paraguayan Olimpia footballer denied having differences with Solari, who was fired after poor results last March in the Clausura 2022 tournament.
“They had been sending me messages, I received threats when Solari was there, they said that I had had problems with him, but I never had a problem with him. He never separated me from the team, I came with an injury that prevented me from playing, nobody knew that, I didn’t feel well physically”, reiterated the man born in Asunción 26 years ago.
Sánchez said that to recover from that bad moment he relied on his family, who gave him the strength to demonstrate on the field his quality that in this Apertura 2022 has him in one of his best moments with the most winning team in Mexico with 13 League titles.
The Paraguayan adds two goals and an assist that have contributed to the Eagles be leaders of the Apertura standings and tie the club’s historic streak of eight wins in a row.
“I’ve been at the club for three years and I’m proud to be at the biggest club in Mexico. We have hard times where all of us who are inside stand up for ourselves and that is thanks to the group we have. I feel that I am going through a nice moment personally, happy for what we have achieved and we have a clear goal of being champions”, he stated.
