In mid-March there was a uncomfortable situation with Raúl de Molina while he was live on ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’. In turn, the television host did not hold back and exploded against a producer of the program for not allowing him to finish speaking, with a video that cut off the words expressed.
De Molina was on Rodner Figueroa’s podcast and explained better what happened: “The other day I had a difficult day on the program because I see that They cut me off the air and I said it and some people say that I was right and they rightly called me out on Univision. But I’m tired of a producer coming and I’m talking about something important and the man cuts me off without telling me anything. And they wouldn’t do that to Jorge Ramos, I respect him a lot, but I don’t think they would do it to him; I don’t think they did it to Don Francisco, why do they do it to me?
This episode generated a debate about the importance of respect and communication in the workplace, especially in a live television program where improvisation and spontaneity are essential. Many agreed that the producer should have waited for Raúl de Molina to finish speaking before interrupting him, since abruptly cutting him off without warning can affect his performance and make him uncomfortable in front of the audience.
“I often tell the producers of the program ‘Hey, you have to understand that this program was for me and Lili to talk about, this is what gave it the ratings and what the show was.’ And now they want to put 20 news items in the program that they have already seen in other programs and I don’t think it is the normal thing to do,” he told the Venezuelan.
Despite the controversy, Raúl continued with his work on ‘El Gordo y la Flaca’ without any major inconveniences, demonstrating once again his professionalism and commitment to the program. However, this incident served as a reminder of the importance of effective communication and mutual respect in any work environment, especially in the demanding world of entertainment.
