The two goals for the merengue team were scored by Rodrygo, who acted as a figure in the absence of Vinícius Jr. due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
After 30 days played, Real Madrid is the leader with 75 points, eight points ahead of Barcelona. Madrid has three consecutive victories in La Liga.

Madrid came out with a starting eleven without Vinícius and Rodrygo, who positioned himself in the absence of his compatriot.
In just eight minutes, the Brazilian received a change of wing from Brahim and faced the rival area to then profile and hit the ball with his foot. He scored a goal that opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabéu.
After the first goal, the game was dominated by Madrid without force and they went into halftime with a one-goal lead.
The second half was more dynamic for both teams with opportunities, but Rodrygo once again shouldered the team to score the calming goal.
On a counterattack play started by Toni Kross, Bellingham gave him a pass aimed at Rodrygo, with just one movement, left a defender and scored from the right for his second goal of the game.
Rodrygo reached 10 goals in La Liga. With this double, Real Madrid is the only team that has 3 players with 10 or more scores: Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Jr and Rodrygo.
Real Madrid will sleep as leader and will not play again until April 9 when they face Manchester City at the Bernabéu in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
For its part, Athletic Bilbao will face Javier Aguirre’s Mallorca in the Copa del Rey final next week at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville, Spain.
Barcelona defeated Las Palmas 1-0 in their league match and hopes to stay close to Real Madrid in a tournament that only has eight dates left to define the champion.
If Real Madrid achieves five more victories it will be La Liga champion again.
